A constitution is a set of fundamental principles which describe how an organization is governed. The County has got along for many years using the guidance contained within chapter five of The Scout Association’s publication, Policy Organisation and Rules (P.O.R.) However, by using those rules as guidance and adding our own elements we can ensure that everyone is very clear on what the charity’s purposes are, what the roles are within it and how it should be run.
The Constitution is available here adopted at the AGM on the 1st December 2020.
